Malcolm works with employers in the Hospitality, Leisure, Travel & Tourism sector, which includes hotels, pubs, restaurants, cafe bars, take-aways, retail, transport, visitor attractions, holiday parks, activity centres, schools and council workers. Michelle is responsible for working with employers in the construction industry, which also includes electrical installation, gas, plumbing and painting and decorating. Michelle has worked in the BDU since 2003. Her varied career has included a role as Sales Executive for a contract flooring manufacturer, where she worked closely with a wide range of construction companies. Employer Liaison Officer for Island Training, Omar works closely with local employers, identifying training needs, advising them on suitable training schemes for their workforce as well as recruiting and matching candidates to any apprenticeship or work placements that they may have available.
