The pre-employment apprenticeship scheme offers support for 16-18 year olds by providing work placements at NO cost to the employer!
We pay the candidate a training wage for up to 26 weeks, there is no obligation for employers to keep the young person in employment after the work placement period, or to offer them permanent employment. However, there are a limited number of grants of up to £2500 available for employers who take on an 18 year old apprentice who has attended the ESF training programme.
